Job Description

As the Lead Mechatronics & CAD at Alberts, you are responsible to lead the design, development and production of the Alberts' product portfolio. You preferably have experience in DfMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly), CAD (Solidworks) and will as such steer the realization of the final designs of the Alberts’ station subassemblies, coordinate with engineering consultants, engage manufacturing partners, set-up and monitor the Alberts’ off-site production lines.

As we have passed the company’s start-up phase, you will not be asked to develop a product prototype, but rather to develop & improve our existing products, including all components and their design in order to help us launch our machine production in a cost efficient way together with our production partner(s). You will be charged with the organization and coordination of continuous reliability and quality tests to make sure our products are fully compliant with all health and safety rules..

Mostly you will be active in our HQ in Wijnegem (Antwerp), but you may be required to visit foreign suppliers as well on a regular basis.

If you are the driven, positive team member we’re looking for... then let’s look at some requirements you ideally have in your toolkit:

• You have 10y work experience (specifically in Food Design is a bonus).
• People management: you are able to lead a team and communicate constructively.
• You know your way around Solidworks and have a passion for CAD.
• You are fluent in Dutch & English.
• You have a Master in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• You have a driver’s license.
